SUMMARY:The Solutions are in the Soil
DESCRIPTION:Marc Siepman\, soil specialist from The Netherlands\, is coming back to Provision with his exhilarating\n‘The Solutions are in the Soil workshop’!\n26 – 29 June 2024\nAfter Marc’s very successful workshop at Provision in July 2019\, he has found willingness and time to travel once again all the way from Deventer\, The Netherlands to Alunisu\, to give this time a 4 day workshop on the soil food web!\nVisits Marc’s English version website   \nor his larger Dutch version website \nSustainability is not enough. We need regenerative cultures. We need to know in our hearts that we are nature\, that everything and everyone is connected. To really understand this\, we need to shed light on our collective blind spot: the living soil! \nDuring this course you will meet several important inhabitants of a healthy soil: bacteria\, fungi\, protists\, nematodes\, earthworms\, and more. What’s their purpose? How do they relate to each other? And more importantly: how can we help them so they can do their important work? \nAlthough soil life is infinitely complex\, taking care of it is not. We must learn to trust the complexities and team up with all life. \nAlthough we need healthy soils for the health of plants\, animals and even the planet\, we lose soils at breakneck speed. Agriculture causes desertification\, erosion\, deforestation\, pollution and the degradation of life in general. Planet Earth is losing its biodiversity at a rate of about two hundred species per day and her climate is increasingly erratic. \nProblems abound\, but many solutions can be found in the soil! \nThis course will be in English!\nImpressions from the 2019 edition\nThe course starts at 12:00 on Thursday 26 June and ends at 12:00 on Sunday 29 June.\nProgram:\nThe program may change due to weather conditions. There is ample time to get to know each other during breaks and evenings. \nThursday\, June 26 (12:00 – 17:00)\nFriday\, June 27 (10:00 – 17:00)\nSaturday\, June 28 (10:00 – 17:00)\nSunday\, July 29 (9:00 – 12:00)\nPossible content (to be decided) \nFungal spores\nThinking in systems: it’s all about relations\nFeedback: nature speaks!\nAbout soils: texture\, structure and how to test the soil quality\nPhotosynthesis: the basis of life on Earth\nFun with fungi: healthy systems rely on fungal networks\nThe Return of the Fungi: making good use of succession\nThe water cycle: what’s life got to do with it?\nComplex not complicated: the illusion of control\nToday we go for a refreshing walk through the hills! Bring your hiking shoes!\nObserving your surroundings: reading the landscape\nThe Soil Food Web: the interconnectedness of all things\nPicking up trash along the way\nComposting\nWorkshop by Lars: how to set up and use a composting toilet\nNutrients in the soil: how to get them inside the plant\nNitrogen: essential but troublesome\nDynamic equilibrium: striving for balance\nNutrients in the soil: how to get them inside the plant\nNitrogen: essential but troublesome\nDynamic equilibrium: striving for balance\nFarewell ceremony\n \n \n \n \nFood \n \n \n\n	\nThursday: \nOur first meal together will be a REGIONAL BUFFET on Thursday evening. \nWe invite all participants to bring some food and drinks from your home\, garden\, region to share with others. \nFriday – Sunday: \nVegetarian meals will be served at Provision from (mostly) locally produced sources and seasonal. In case you have other dietary requirements than these\, please bring and provide these items for your self.\n \n \n \n \nAccommodation \n \n \n\n	\nWe offer 2 options: \n\na bed in a shared room with 3 – 4 persons: all linens\, pillows and duvets are provided.\na place at our campground: you will need to bring your own gear (tent\, mat\, sleeping bag…)\n\nPlease clearly indicate while registering which option you choose.\n \n \n \n \nCosts \n \n \n\n	\nIn order to offer this course for an affordable and minimum price\, we have been preparing for you: \n\nMarc himself has raised funds with a crowdfunding campaign in The Netherlands to cover part of his trip.\nProvision collaborates with ALPA – Land for Life. This course will be part of the European Horizon project SPADES4SOIL\, in which ALPA is a project partner. Part of the organizational and hosting costs will be covered by SPADES4SOIL.\n\nYour remaining costs for the accommodation and food: \nWe ask a 150 RON registration fee\, so we can make sure your place for the course is secured. \nYour remaining costs for the training: \nMarc generally works by donation\, making his courses financially accessible for everyone this way. We will therefore kindly ask you to make a donation to Marc at the end of the 4 day course\, with an amount of your choice and capacity.\n \n \n \n \nRegistration \n \n \n\n	\nIn order to secure your place for this course\, we ask you to: \n\ncontact Provision by email or telephone\npay the registration fee of 150 RON to:\n\nBank information\n\nReference Name: Asociatia Provision Transylvania\nIBAN (RON): RO67BTRLRONCRT0492346201\nSwift/Bic: BTRLRO22XXX\nBank: Banca Transilvania S.A.\n\n \n \n \n \nImportant \n \n \n\n	\nYou can find here how to reach us \nPlease read our terms of agreement BEFORE registration and arrival \nWe are very much looking forward having you with us during this special deep dive into the soil world opportunity!

SUMMARY:The Tcha Sessions
DESCRIPTION:We are very pleased to announce that virtuoso musician Tcha Limberger will give a 5 day workshop at Provision 6 – 11 August\, 2024. \n  \nWe met Tcha the very first time we set foot in the village that Provision now calls home… At that moment Tcha was living in this enchanting place. Friendship grew instantly and soon we became neighbors. Tcha’s path in life took him elsewhere and over the years his property came more and more into the stewardship of Provision. Now\, we are delighted to announce that a long-standing dream of both Tcha and Provision is coming into reality: a music workshop with Tcha in this beloved Transylvanian village. \n  \nFor information about the workshop and registration\, please follow this link to the event page on Tcha’s website. \n  \nSince Provision is hosting the workshop\, we provide more information on food and accommodation here. \nWe have done our best to give a good overview in word and image of what Provision is throughout our website. Please take a moment to look around because Provision is not a typical venue space. Some keywords are: “village\, nature\, simplicity\, ecological\, regenerative\, creative”. Maybe this fits into your values very well. Perhaps these concepts are all very new to you. And it is also possible that this way of life is not a fit for you and would rather book a room in the neighbouring village of Sancraiu where there are many official bed and breakfasts. If you do choose this option\, you will need to have your own transportation to come back and forth to Provision or be ready to walk 45 minutes each way.\n \n \n \n \nFood \n \n \n\n	\n\nWe cook simply\, nutritious and healthy meals\, created with mostly locally produced and seasonal products. All meals are vegetarian.\nIn case you have any specific dietary requirements that do not fit the above (like gluten-free)\, we kindly ask you to bring and provide them yourselves. The same counts for any ‘snacks’\, desires and food needs you might have. (Our village does not have a shop!)\n \n \n \n \nAccommodation \n \n \n\n	\n \n\nProvision offers two options: \n\nshared rooms in traditional peasant houses\ncamping for tents\n\n Our houses were build and lived in by local peasants. We transformed them into guesthouses while preserving the old energy and style. Rooms sleep 2-3 persons each. We also have one more recently built ‘tiny house’ with a small common space and a sleeping loft which can be reached by using a ladder. There are two ‘luxury’ bathrooms with warm showers and flush toilets. For those who prefer\, there are also outside compost toilets and cold showers.\n\nPlease see this link of Provision’s accommodation options and look at the Group House\, Blue House and Tiny House\, as these will be the houses used during this workshop.\n \nOur camping spaces are situated in the orchard of the Group House.\n \nAll accommodation reflects simplicity and ecological living.\n \nIf you book a bed in a shared room\, all linens\, pillows and duvets are provided. If you book a place on the camping\, you will need to bring all your own gear (tent\, mat\, sleeping bag\,…).\n \n \n \n \nCost for Food and Accommodation\n \n \n \n\n	\n\nFood plus shared room for 5 nights: 200 Euro\nFood plus camping place for 5 nights: 175 Euro\n\n\n \nIn case you would like to arrange your own accommodation elsewhere:\nFood at Provision for 5 days: 150 Euro\n \n\n\nCheck in: Tuesday August\, 6 starting at 16:00\nCheck out: Sunday August 11\, latest at 16:00\n\n\n\n\nPayment at Provision in cash upon arrival (be aware: our village does not have an ATM machine!)\n \n \n \n \nHow to reach us\n \n \n \n\n	\nPlease check our ‘coming to Provision’ page for information on how to reach us.\n\n \n \n \n \nImportant \n \n \n\n	\nPlease contact us to book your room/camping place as soon as you registered for the workshop(!)\n\nPlease read our terms of agreements here BEFORE your arrival.\n\nWe are looking forward to welcome you here for this very special first edition Music Workshop with Tcha!

SUMMARY:Restorative Systems with Dominic Barter
DESCRIPTION:This is your invitation to join us in welcoming Dominic Barter at Provision\n \n \n \n \nWhere \n \n \n\n	\n\n \nProvisionTransylvania in the village of Alunisu/Magyarokereke\, jud. Cluj\, Romania \nSee this link to learn more about Provision and this link on how to reach us.\n\n \n \n \n \nWhen \n \n \n\n	\n23-25 June\, 2023 \nfor a Friday evening/ Saturday full day / Sunday ending-earlier day event. \nArrival Friday 23 June\, latest by 18:00 \nDeparture Sunday 25 June\, any time after 14:00\n\n \n \n \n \nDominic Barter \n \n \n\n	\n \n\nFOR SIGN UP AND INFORMATION ABOUT THIS EVENT\, PLEASE CLICK HERE. \nOr read below: \nThe complexity of the times invite us to bring our whole hearts and intelligence to our current dilemmas and our next steps in facing them. Given the moment we are in\, how are we to rediscover the art of designing social systems that listen and learn? \nHow do we forge community or organisational agreements that consistently meet common needs\, increase social cohesion and help us heal from division? \nIn the midst of such cultural and institutional disorientation what does it take to strengthen collective resilience and regenerate a playful balance between our unity as living beings and the infinite diversity of each one of us\, in each moment? \nOver the last 28 years\, Dominic and his colleagues in Brazil have been developing successful new ways of arriving at liberatory ends through liberatory means. Guided by the work of Marshall Rosenberg their dialogical social systems have been applied in contexts from gang-controlled favela shanty towns to family businesses\, in contexts as diverse as civil wars\, school systems\, environmental disasters\, online communities\, churches and government and have inspired and supported programs in over 50 countries. \nA doorway into this work is to look at how communities\, groups\, organisations and families respond to the emergence of conflict. That is\, how we build justice systems designed to strengthen social cohesion\, rather than separate and punish. \nThis event starts with a Friday evening over view of Dialogical System Design\, including images and stories of different systems designed dialogically\, such as the Beta Space high school and the network of Empathic Support Systems helping people in crisis situations.  over the last 28 odd years. \nOn Saturday and Sunday we continue with two introductory\, interactive days of demonstration and experiential learning presenting the Restorative Circles approach to justice. \nThough the name is now sometimes used in a more generic sense\, here Restorative Circles refers to the community process for supporting those in conflict developed in the favelas of Brazil in the mid 1990s. \nYou are welcome to come just to the Friday evening or for the whole weekend\, including Friday evening. These are the two options we hold to\, rather than making exceptions and welcoming requests to miss a section of the whole time due to other commitments\, which affects the collaborative nature of the learning. \nIf there is interest\, we are committed to continuing this learning sequence over the next few years\, so that opportunities for further learning will be available. \nAs you will see as you got through the two-step sign up process there are a series of distinct aspects to the event\, which serve both to increase access and to offer us experiential learning opportunities. \nThese involve making space and caring for any children who might be with us\, caring for our food\, caring for resources – so that participants are not excluded and the work and costs are also cared for – and for each other while we are together. \nWe will work in English\, with self-organised translation available for when we expect to get stuck. \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \nAccommodation \n \n \n\n	\nProvision has the possibility to host you in an eco-friendly\, basic setting. We can offer you \nOption 1) a shared room \nOption 2) camping: bring your own tent\, mat\, sleeping bag… \nSee this link for more information on Provision’s accommodation. \n\n\n\n\nThe Financial Corresponsibility model used for the event extends to the hosting.\n\nPlease take note that registration for the event and reservation for accommodation are both required! (see below how to do this).\nOption 3) If you prefer to sleep in an official guesthouse\, with standard comfort\, we advice you to book a room in our neighbouring village (Sâncraiu/ Szentkirály-Zentelke) at 4 km distance from Provision. You can book your room using this link.  We will not be able to provide any transportation.\n\n \n \n \n \nTravel \n \n \n\n	\n\n \nIf you are coming from a distance\, please take efforts to make your journey as low carbon as possible.\n\n \n \n \n \nHow do I sign up? \n \n \n\n	\nMORE INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE IN THE SIGN UP PROCESS. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO READ AND REGISTER.\n\nWith great care\, we are looking forward to see you at Provision Transylvania \n23-25 June\, 2023\, \nRobyn\, Monica\, Dominic\, Lars

SUMMARY:Exploring a Regenerative Lifestyle
DESCRIPTION:Short course\nExploring a Regenerative Lifestyle\n\n \n \n \n \nAbout this short course\n \n \n \n\n	\nThis short course is for those who would like to make a personal transformation towards a lifestyle that is positively contributing to the wellbeing of Planet Earth and all of life\, including our own. \nIn these times\, when global and local degenerative (destructive) practices keep increasing  on social\, ecological\, economical and cultural levels\, there is a growing need\, awareness and demand for learning regenerative practices and growing regenerative cultures. \nIn this short course we dive into the world of Regeneration. What is it? Why is it needed? How can we all practice regeneration\, in each moment of every day? \nWe will ask ourselves how we can contribute towards a living and healthy future that works for all. Is a sustainable lifestyle sufficient to counter the massive degenerative (destructive) activities of humankind over the last few thousands of years? We do not think so. That is why we take sustainability a step further… With regenerative practices\, conditions for life are created\, not merely sustained at a certain level. Regenerative living means that we go beyond sustainability. Regeneration means creating conditions for life to thrive. \nWe need to regenerate while growing food\, building houses\, caring for those with special needs\, attending to our own needs\, communicating with children\, our partners\, and all of life. Regenerative practices can be brought into all aspects of our life\, and we will discover many of them. \nWe will work with the ‘Map of Regeneration’\, designed by the Global Ecovillage Network and explore the four domains of the social\, ecological\, economical and cultural and put this in a whole systems design. \nWe will also make spaces for each participant to explore which regenerative practices\, both small and large\, they would like to call into their own life-situation and create individual regenerative plans based on categories of what is already in place\, what is doable and what we will work to create conditions for with specific next steps.  And\, as is always the case at Provision\, participants will be invited to join regenerative activities at our small farm\, in the gardens and orchards. \nAll within the rural and natural village setting of Provision where there will also be time for connection with Self\, other humans and the more-than human living world.\n \n \n \n \nMain facilitator \n \n \n\n	\n\nLars Veraart\nLars is truly driven to find a way to live in this world that is in line with his values of care for the Earth.  His love of animals great and small brought him through the study of Veterinary Medicine to 15 years work throughout France.  There he saw the degradation of quality of life – for soil\, animals as well as people as the farms where he worked were forced by larger systems to grow bigger and bigger… \nHis interest in alternative forms of…everything… led him to Transylvania where he\, along with his wife Robyn\, founded Provision\, a family farm and learning center devoted to Agroecology and Nonviolence.  Here he joins a long and distinguished line of doctors who have (re)discovered for themselves the direct line between the health of soil\, the health of animals (including humans) and the health of Planet. \nBesides 15 years of experience as a veterinarian and 12 years as a regenerative peasant\, Lars is a by Gaia Education certified designer for sustainability\, with a focus on the work with the ‘Map of Regeneration’.\n \n \n \n \nCosts \n \n \n\n	\nBasic fee: 280 RON\nBalance fee: 380 RON\nCommunity fee: 480 RON\nThe Balanced fee reflects what is needed to organise the course. For those who cannot afford the balanced fee\, we like to offer a basic fee. Basic fees are co-created when others\, who have more access to financial resources\, pay the Community fee. \nWorkshop participation and meals (healthy local farm food) are included in the price. Accommodation is separate. SUMMARY:Becoming self-sufficient - How can I do that?
DESCRIPTION:Short course\nBecoming self-sufficient – How can I do that?\n\n \n \n \n \nAbout this short course\n \n \n \n\n	\nThis short course is for those who would like to feel even more connected with Self\, others\, food and nature and are ready to make a shift towards more autonomy\, freedom of choice and personal health\, while improving one’s own quality of life. Self-sufficient practices tend to be natural and ecological\, thus resulting in a happier and healthier planet as well. \nIn these times\, it seems more than ever before\, more and more people are realising the value of access to good and healthy food\, clean air and water\, nature and quality time with the people we love. We will uncover the possibilities which a self-sufficient life offer to increase these essential ingredients of human life. \nIn this short course we will look at what it means to become more self-sufficient regarding money\, housing\, food and personal needs. What are the steps we might take? What are the possibilities? What locations are possible? Can you do it? What skills would you need to learn and how? \nLiving a self-sufficient life does not necessarily mean that you are living apart from others\, in your own home with garden\, somewhere far away in a secluded place\, doing everything that it takes to survive your self. This may be possible\, more or less\, though not necessary. A self-sufficient lifestyle can also mean that you are part of a local collaborative community helping to support each other\, connecting and sharing with your neighbours\, being part of a social fabric. This can be done in both rural and urban areas. We will also explore a number of self-sufficiency skills which participants can put into practice within their own life\, both small and large. And\, as is always the case at Provision\, participants will be invited to join self-sufficient activities at our small farm\, in the gardens and orchards \nAll within the rural and natural village setting of Provision where there will also be time for connection with Self\, other humans and the more-than human living world.\n \n \n \n \nMain facilitators \n \n \n\n	\n \n\nRobyn Marie Bors Veraart\n\n \n\nLars Veraart\n\nLars and Robyn both decided\, together and for themselves\, to leave the professional tracks they were on as counsellor/psychotherapist and veterinarian in order to focus their life energy and resources upon becoming food sovereign and experiencing a way of living that is based on bread labor (meeting subsistence needs as much as possible with one’s own hands).  Coming from North America and Western Europe and thereby having many choices of where to learn the skills needed to cultivate\, harvest and transform food for preservation\, they chose and were chosen by the village of Alunisu/Magyarokereke in Transylvania.  And this is where and how they have been living\, along with their son Carsten and many more-than-human companions and community members since 2009.  In 2012\, they began to open their home to guests who were also interested in learning the skills that they were learning in the village school of life…  This practice of hosting has blossomed into the living and learning center that is called Provision.\n \n \n \n \n\nCosts \n \n \n\n	\nBasic fee: 280 RON\nBalance fee: 380 RON\nCommunity fee: 480 RON\nThe Balanced fee reflects what is needed to organise the course. For those who cannot afford the balanced fee\, we like to offer a basic fee. Basic fees are co-created when others\, who have more access to financial resources\, pay the Community fee. \nWorkshop participation and meals (healthy local farm food) are included in the price. Accommodation is separate. Please check our ‘Coming to Provision’ page for more accommodation options and other practical information.\n \n \n \n \nA series of 3 short courses \n \n \n\n	\nThis ‘Becoming self-sufficient – How can I do that?’ short course is one out of a series of 3 short courses Provision hosts in the spring/summer of 2022. SUMMARY:NonViolent Communication (NVC) within Constellations
DESCRIPTION:Short course:\nNonviolent Communication (NVC) within constellations\n\n \n \n \n \nAbout this short course\n \n \n \n\n	\nThis short course is for those who want to attend to their inner ecology and wellbeing through a multitude of lenses including individual\, familial\, cultural/systemic and collective. The intensely playful work of constellations allows us to go deep into our own patterning and to bring the light of consciousness into the places/parts within us that are yearning to make a shift… \nIn these times\, it seems that more and more people are realising the need to restore our connections to ourselves\, our families\, our consciousness of cultural/systemic imprinting\, and the living presence of this planet that is our home. All of these aspects have profound influence over who and how we are. One of the principles this course aims to bring to life is that our internal state has a profound effect on every aspect of our being – and also on the outcome of whatever we are aiming to achieve. \nIn this short course we will look for ways to prune some of the life-alienating formations in our inner ecology\, to create life-enriching pathways through our inner landscape\, and to do so with an ever-increasing ability to speak compassionately with ourselves and others. We will engage with constellation work as a restorative and regenerative practice that creates conditions for fun\, play\, beauty\, healing and insight for all involved. \nAs we engage with this practice\, we are learning through a multitude of perspectives which brings a deepening into empathic and experiential learning. We will also include time to discuss some of the more theoretical foundations of constellation practice and explore the qualities of all the different roles of seeker\, representative and facilitator. And\, as is always the case at Provision\, participants will be invited to join restorative activities at our small farm\, in the gardens and orchards \nAll within the rural and natural village setting of Provision where there will also be time for connection with Self\, other humans and the more-than human living world.\n \n \n \n \nMain facilitator\n \n \n \n\n	\n\nRobyn Marie Bors Veraart\nRobyn is Provision’s main NVC mobiliser. Since completing the process of becoming a certified trainer of NonViolent Communication (NVC) in 2019\, Robyn has refreshed her work with individuals\, families and organisations now in the role of NVC consultant. This weaves the thread of her former professional life as Transpersonal Psychotherapist and Music Therapist (M.A. Naropa University\, 2000) into new currency in the fabric of her present-life situation as co-founder of Provision.   \nRobyn offers her skills of mentorship\, facilitation and mediation with the purpose of awakening compassionate understanding.  Robyn sees healing through constellations as a miraculous way to bring restorative and regenerative possibility to individuals\, families\, cultures and our entire living planet.\n \n \n \n \nCosts\n \n \n \n\n	\nBasic fee: 280 RON\nBalance fee: 380 RON\nCommunity fee: 480 RON\nThe Balanced fee reflects what is needed to organise the course.
